Named after the historical Nicholas breeding location in Western Scotland, the Ayrshire Auburn is a breed with exceptional liveability combined with a slow growth rate and with distinctive brown feathering on the female or dark feathering on the males makes this an ideal bird for organic, free range or speciality producers wishing to differentiate their produce.

Bronze feathered and the largest breed in the Shire Range. This breed has been used by both conventional and specialist producers looking for coloured feathering combined with exceptional performance and welfare characteristics. Named after the main breeding base for Aviagen Turkeys today.
