The finance department works closely with and supports colleagues on budgeting’s, forecasting, reporting, purchasing. We provide proactive support, understanding, analysis and advice, delivering accurate and timely financial information. Our Hatcheries put people and the welfare of our day-old poults at the heart of everything we do. The hatchery team work closely with the ‘Logistics and Export’ department, especially on hatch days to ensure customer orders are met to the highest standards.

Roles: Hatchery Manager, Hatchery Assistant Manager, Incubation Manager and Dispatch Operatives, Supervisors, Senior Supervisors and Coordinators. Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, HGV Drivers, Administration Team roles, Quality Control.

Location: Lincolnshire, North Western France.

The UK export team is responsible for the co-ordination of the export of day old poults and hatching eggs from Aviagen Turkeys’ supply bases in the UK and Europe. We work together with our colleagues in other areas of the business including Production, Hatcheries, Sales Planning, Veterinary, Logistics and commercial on a daily basis to ensure the safe and timely export of our birds throughout the world. We also collaborate with freight agents; airlines and the ground handling staff at the airport to ensure optimum conditions for our precious cargo.

Roles: Sales, Planning & Logistics Manager, Sales & Planning Co-ordinator, Export Co-ordinator.

The UK Sales & Customer Support Team supports our parent stock and commercial customers in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa to achieve consistently good biological performance with high standards of bird welfare and to help them meet their business goals.

Engaging with customers we assess flock management inputs, providing best practice recommendations. There are also opportunities highlighted through in-depth data analysis which helps drive customer strategy. Additionally, we are working closely with customers using our team of specialists at key times to help with specific areas, for example: Nutrition, Incubation, Veterinary matters, Gut health, R&D, Statistical analysis of data - all with the common goal of improving welfare and biological performance.

We are always looking at ways we can motivate talent and support the industry through different initiatives such as conferences, awards, sponsorships and much more.

The Veterinary Laboratory works closely with vets, and farm production managers to ensure the health and welfare of our flocks, using numerous diagnostic methods to achieve this. We have ISO17025 accreditation allowing us to demonstrate competence in producing valid and reliable results., building trust among customers worldwide. Many of our results are used to enable export of hatching eggs and poults globally to our customers, complying with national legislation. We continually assess new equipment and diagnostics that come to market with the aim of improving our processes. Working at the vet lab is a busy and interesting environment.
